# Publishing to Squirrel Cloud

Once a project is completed, it needs to be published so that it can be shared and used outside of Squirrel. With the introduction of Squirrel Cloud, your projects can be published directly to the cloud and stored there. From there they can easily be shared in a web viewer, embedded in a web page, or added to a PowerPoint presentation. As of 1.16, all Publish options were migrated to a new [**Project Settings**](https://learn.squirrel365.io/publishing-and-sharing/project-settings) window. With this, the Publish to Cloud and Publish Locally options have had their settings simplified. The details are outlined below.

### Publish to Cloud

#### New Project

* **Name** - A space to define the Project Name. If you have defined this within the Project Settings, this name will be carried across here.
* **Cancel** - Select to cancel
* **Publish** - Select to Publish. This will transition to the Project Manager page.

#### Overwrite Existing

* **Select A Project To Overwrite** - A dropdown that populates all currently existing projects in the Project Manager.
* **Name** - A space to define the Project Name. If you have defined this within the Project Settings, this name will be carried across here. If you have selected an item from the "Select A Project To Overwrite" dropdown, the name of that project will populate in the Name input.
* **Cancel** - Select to cancel
* **Publish** - Select to Publish. This will transition to the Project Manager page.
