Image Library
This article describes the Image Library, its components and functionality
Introduced in 1.18, the Image Library automatically collates all images used in projects or imported from external project files.
Accessing the Image Library
Via the Start Page
- Open the Squirrel application or navigate to the Start page from within the Designer 
- Select 'Image Library' on the left panel 

Via the Image component
- Open Squirrel and place an Image component on the canvas 
- Select 'My Library' in the properties panel 

Uploading an Image to the Library
An Image can be uploaded to the library in a few ways:
Through the Start Page library
- Open the Squirrel application or navigate to the Start page from within the Designer 
- Select 'Image Library' on the left panel 
- Click 'Upload Image' at the top right of the window 
- Select the image to upload from the File Explorer and click 'Open' 
Through the Image component library
- Open Squirrel and place an Image component on the canvas 
- Select 'My Library' in the properties panel 
- Click 'Upload Image' in the properties panel 
- Select the image to upload from the File Explorer and click 'Open' 
Opening an external project
If you are opening a project that you did not originally create, such as a project from a client or a template, then you will be prompted to add any images used in the project to your library.
If from a project...
- Open Squirrel 
- Navigate to 'Open a Local File' 
- Select the project from the 'File Explorer' and click Open 
If from a template
- Open Squirrel 
- Navigate to the 'Templates' menu on the Start page 
- Select a template and click 'Use template' 
Once a project has been opened that contains images not already in your 'Image Library', you will be prompted to add them.

Deleting an Image from the Library
To delete an image from the Image Library:
- Navigate to the Squirrel Start page 
- Open the 'Image Library' on the left side panel 
- Hover over the image and select the "..." More Options button 
- Click Delete and confirm
